STUDIO POLICIES & USEFUL INFORMATION

Welcome to Rossini Music Studio. The following policies are designed to create a consistent, respectful, and successful learning environment for all students and families. Enrollment in lessons indicates agreement with the policies below.

Tuition & Payment

Rossini Music Studio operates on a monthly tuition basis, not per lesson.

  • Tuition reserves a weekly lesson time for the student and guarantees consistent instruction.

  • Monthly tuition is due in advance, regardless of the number of lessons in a given month.

  • Tuition remains the same for months with holidays or planned studio closures, as these are built into the annual calendar.

  • Missed lessons do not reduce tuition.

Attendance & Cancellations

Consistent attendance is essential for musical progress.

  • Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons.

  • If a lesson must be canceled, at least 24 hours’ notice is required.

  • Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are forfeited and not eligible for a make-up.

Make-Up Lessons

Rossini Music Studio offers limited make-up lessons as a courtesy, not a guarantee.

  • Make-ups are offered only for lessons canceled with proper notice.

  • Make-up lessons are subject to studio availability.

  • Missed lessons due to illness, scheduling conflicts, or forgotten lessons are not guaranteed a make-up.

  • No refunds or credits are issued for missed lessons.

Student Preparation & Practice Expectations

Progress in music depends on regular practice.

  • Students are expected to practice consistently between lessons.

  • Practice expectations will be clearly communicated and adjusted based on age and level.

  • Parents of younger students are encouraged to support practice routines at home.

  • Lack of practice may limit progress but does not affect tuition.

Piano Practice Tips for Parents

Consistent piano practice is essential for steady progress and confidence at the instrument. At Rossini Music Studio, we emphasize short, focused, and regular practice sessions, especially for younger students.

Practice expectations are adjusted based on each student’s age, level, and individual needs. Consistency always matters more than length.

    • Reading notes on the staff

    • Rhythm and steady tempo

    • Reviewing assigned pieces

    • Basic technique exercises

Ages 10–12 (Late Elementary / Early Intermediate)

  • 20–30 minutes, 5–6 days per week

  • Focus on:

    • Technical development

    • Accuracy and coordination

    • Musical expression

    • Learning longer pieces

Teens (Intermediate–Advanced)

  • 30–45+ minutes, 5–6 days per week

    • Technique and scales

    • Repertoire development

    • Performance skills

Adult Piano Students

  • 20–40 minutes, as consistently as possible

  • Short, focused sessions are highly effective and fit well into busy schedules

Daily practice builds progress and confidence far more effectively than occasional long sessions. Parents can best support their child by helping establish a regular practice routine, offering encouragement, and celebrating effort—not perfection.

Studio Calendar & Holidays

Rossini Music Studio follows an annual studio calendar.

  • The studio observes planned holidays and scheduled breaks throughout the year.

  • These dates will be communicated in advance and are factored into monthly tuition.

  • No make-ups or refunds are offered for studio holidays or scheduled closures.

Cancellation & Withdrawal Policy

  • Lesson enrollment at Rossini Music Studio is billed as a monthly recurring subscription.

A 30-day written notice is required to discontinue lessons. Notice must be submitted by email and received before the next billing date to prevent the following month’s charge.

Tuition will continue to be billed during the 30-day notice period. Lessons may continue during this time.

  • After the notice period has been completed, the subscription will be canceled and no further charges will occur.

  • Tuition is not refundable and is not based on the number of lessons attended.
